Construction works are continuing in the vicinity of the Mirrabooka Avenue and Reid Highway intersection and will impact on traffic conditions in the following way:
The existing kerbside right turning pocket on Reid Highway eastbound (onto Mirrabooka Avenue) will be closed permanently from Thursday 24 March. The inside right turning pocket will remain open.
The existing kerbside right turning pocket on Mirrabooka Avenue southbound (onto Reid Highway) will be closed permanently from Thursday 24 March. The inside right turning pocket will remain open.
Eastbound and westbound lanes on Reid Highway will intermittently be narrowed or reduced to a single lane to allow for the safe movement of heavy vehicles on the approach to the Reid-Mirrabooka intersection.
For the safety of all road users and our workers, please observe all warning signs, the directions of road traffic management staff and the temporary speed reductions. Heavy plant and machinery continues to enter and exit construction areas on Reid Highway and Mirrabooka Avenue. A 60kmph construction speed limit will be enforced.
The eastern footpath on Mirrabooka Avenue southbound will be closed until late 2011. Pedestrians will detour to the western footpath at the traffic signals northbound.
