The Cerebral Palsy Association (CPA) group home in Westminster has recently welcomed an unexpected guest, a stray cat called 'Tiger' who laps up the constant love and affection from residents.
Unfortunately, Tiger is not sterilised or inoculated and having already had a litter of kittens, her long term residency has been in doubt, much to the distress of her adopted family who are unable to afford the procedures.
"I appreciate that Tiger enriches the lives of residents and brings them a great deal of joy. I strongly support responsible pet ownership and sterilising our pets is an important part of controlling domestic animal populations and protecting our local bushland", Janine said.
Tiger will require the standard annual injections to ensure she remains healthy. If any local businesses are interested in assisting the Westminster CPA residents to cover the annual cost of keeping Tiger, please contact the office of Janine Freeman MLA on 9345-2005 for further information.
